I woke up feeling a hundred years old today, but, that is a story for another day. I’m trying to decide if have it in me to get myself together for a ten o’clock concert at the Chrysalis.
The Inner Arbor Trust, in partnership with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, is excited to present Celebrate Springtime, the first in the free 2023 Chrysalis Kids series!
Celebrate Springtime is part of the BSO's Tiny Tots Music Box concerts, designed to develop musicality, creativity, coordination, and literacy for children ages 6 months - 3 years. We hope you can join us for this musical celebration of the season!
On Mother's Day Weekend, celebrate springtime with the Inner Arbor Trust and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra!
Young children respond to music without any filter. They are not there to sit quietly with their hands folded. If the music connects with them they respond wholeheartedly. After all my years of teaching, one of my great joys is attending events like this and seeing children dancing on the lawn.
Today’s concert will feature a brass quintet. Baltimore actress and storyteller Maria Broom hosts.
It’s a short concert because that’s what is best for young children. Tickets are free but you must register at Eventbrite.
Music in early childhood activates so many parts of the developing brain. And it’s just plain fun. I’m grateful to the Inner Arbor Trust for bringing this gift to the community.
