My daughter sent me a photo of an adorable baby duck this morning and, had I been sure that it was a local duck, I might have written about that. (“Lack of Balance”, April 18, 2020)
Friends, thanks to photographic talents of HoCo’s own Michael Oberman, I present to you: local ducks. Baby ducks, even.
Mr. Oberman, whose photos of wildlife are well known locally and far beyond, told me these adorable ducklings were spotted at Font Hill, at Lake Kittamaqundi, and Centennial Lake. At last! The coverage of local baby ducks our souls have been longing for!
If you’re a fan of wildlife photography like I am, I recommend paying a visit to Michael Oberman’s website, where a wide variety of his work is on display.
While you are there you might just decide you need to purchase a few to brighten up your quarantine surroundings. I’m a big fan of his squirrels. Frogs, too.
But wait - - there’s more.
Oberman is also the author of the upcoming memoir, Fast Forward, Play, and Rewind.
