Home

As I was searching for a topic this morning, I began to sense road signs pointing me in a particular direction.

From Stevens Forest ES (Art at SFES) : Opening Reception of HOME at the Howard County Arts Council!

From Centennial Lane ES: Don't forget your pocket change next week-- Make a difference in the lives of the homeless in Howard County!

From Howard County Youth Count:

On March 29, 2017 between 2:00-9:00 pm volunteers will conduct community wide street count to survey youth ages 14-26 who are unstably housed or homeless. If you know a young person who is in need of stable housing please contact Grassroots 24 hour crisis line at: 410-531-6677.

What does home mean for young people in Howard County who are homeless or whose housing situation is precarious, unstable? How many of our students carry this weight each day when they come to school?

While you are pondering that, take a moment to buy your ticket for tomorrow's Soup R Sundae event to benefit Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center. You can read more about it here.
